Barbara (Bobbie) Tew passed away December 21, 2015 at her home in Florala. She was the daughter of Archiebald Trawick and Minnie Mae Weaver Trawick. She was an honored and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, great grandmother, aunt; They all called her "blessed". Loved and cherished by her many friends and neighbors. Witnessed to anyone that the lord laid on her heart. Called and visited shut-ins in her community was a prayer warrior that many people depended on and held weekly prayer meetings in her home. Faithfully contributed to her church and other christian organizations, which reflected her love and concerns for others. People loved her home made chocolate pies, coconut cakes and other baked goods at family and church gatherings.
She worked full-time and part-time as needed to provide for her family, but that never kept her from being available for her family, which was her main priority.
She and her husband J.C. owned and operated a christian radio station in Florala,Al before retirement. She enjoyed working in her flowerbeds and always kept cut flowers for everyone to enjoy.
She is survived by sons, Charles Tew and wife Jeannette of Eclectic, Terry Tew and wife Shirley, Arthur Tew and wife Sandra both of Andalusia, Hamp Tew and wife Katherine of Deatsville, AL, daughters, Annabel Zorn and husband Lynn of Paxton and Jackie Brazzell and husband James of Semmes, AL, 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She loved being their "Ma Ma" and "Maw T". She is also survived by sister, Betty Davidson and sister-in-law, Mary Charles Trawick.
Funeral services for Barbara (Bobbie) Tew will be 11AM Wednesday December 23, 2015 from Lockhart Baptist Church with Glen Peters and John Bryan officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be at 3:30PM Wednesday at Spring Hill Cemetery at Blue Springs near Clio, Alabama.
