Brinkley Babb was the son of Mr & Mrs William Babb, Jr. He married Missouri Ann Harris on 9 Nov 1834 in Hancock County, GA. By 1840 they were living in Baldwin county. Brinkley and Missouri had at least 11 children. He was a farmer all his life. He died at the age of 64.

He was in the city a few days before his death apparently in the enjoyment of his usual health. His sudden departure speaks with a warning voice to his friends saying "Be ye also ready".
