He is survived by his four sons, Gary, Greg, Randy and Sammy Todd and their families that include eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren all of West Palm Beach, FL. He is also survived by two sisters, Arlene Pinkston and Dean West, both of Jupiter, FL; an aunt, Audrey Callebout of West Palm Beach, FL; and other family members, many dear friends, and extended church family.
Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Marie J. Dyess, who died in 2007.
Gerald was loved and respected by all of his family and friends and will be deeply missed. He will be remembered by his strong faith in Jesus Christ, hope in things eternal and devotion to his family. Gerald blessed the lives of his friends and family with his generosity, unconditional love, and willingness to lend a helping hand. Most who knew Gerald professionally as a fireman and business owner or socially described him as the nicest man they ever knew.
The Dyess Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 3, 2011, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 1201 South Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33401.
A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. William Keith officiating.
