Beatrice "Bea" Mae Devroy Rohloff, passed away unexpectedly into the Lord's arms on April 30, 2006, at St. Paul's Villa, Kaukauna, WI.
Bea was born November 11, 1935, to Laura Kimps Devroy and Alfred Devroy in Green Bay, WI. She married Duaine Rohloff on October 12, 1963, and within this union, a daughter, Shelly (Brian) Palmbach, Appleton, WI, and a son, Todd Rohloff, Atlanta, GA, completed their family. In 1978, the union of Bea and Duaine ended in divorce.
Bea had many fond memories of the years she waitressed and tended bar in Green Bay and later years at the Granary Bar, Sherwood and Gobblers Knob, Stockbridge and as a CNA at the Chilton Village, Chilton, WI.
Life had been wonderful until a horrible accident in September of 1989 in which God spared her life, but it also ended her days of employment. Bea was still fortunate to have been able to spend her winters in Port Richey at a home she and her companion Alvin Schulz shared. She always welcomed her friends to come and join them for the winter. She always loved fun and a good laugh.
Bea is survived by her two children, Shelly (Brian) Palmbach and Todd Rohloff; two grandchildren, Tyler and Matthew Vanden Bloomer; and two step-grandchildren, Travis and Sharon Palmbach; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Sandra Devroy of Green Bay; an uncle, Clarence Kimps of Green Bay; aunts: Dorothy Kimps, Carol Skinadore, Elizabeth McMillin, Emily Schmit, all of Green Bay and Isabelle Coonen of De Pere; and a special friend, Jerry Sigl.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents, Laura and Alfred Devroy, her ex-husband, Duaine Rohloff and her companion, Alvin Schulz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge, WI, on Thursday, May 4, 2006, at 12 p.m. with Fr. David Zimmerman officiating. The family will greet friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Burial will be in the Brillion Community Cemetery.
