"Larry was the only child of Charles Earl Smith, Jr., and Mary Maxine Quinton. He was born October 21, 1942, in Brookfield, Mo.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012 at p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Meadville. The family will receive friends Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until time for the service. Services are under the direction of Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home.

On April 21, 1962, he married Sandra Sue Daniels and they were the parents of Gregory, Mark and Pamela. On April 9, 1988, he married Sandra Lee Hulse in Jackson County, Missouri. Larry retired from ConStar in Kansas City, Kansas, where he had worked as a purchasing agent for many years. He had been a Boy Scout Leader when he lived in Raytown, Missouri.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy of the home; seven children, Donna (Steve) Best of Blue Springs, Kathy (Brad) Ruddell of Greenwood, Larry (Kris) Hadley of Greenwood, Deana (Brian) Vochatzer of Meadville, and Gregory, Mark and Pamela Smith, all of Kansas City; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
