Carolyn Jean Hamlin Thompson, 67, a Fruitland Park resident since October 2008, passed away peacefully and quietly with dignity at 11:00 AM, August 28, 2012. She was born on April 20, 1945 to parents, Wallace and Agnes Hamlin in Peoria, IL. Carolyn loved life, loved to travel and especially loved the Rocky Mountains. She also had a great fondness for horses, her favorite being Secretariat. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Charles, her son, Timothy, and two brothers, Wallace and Robert. Funeral services will be held at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, Lady Lake, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 with Dr. Alan Holden officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Tuesday prior to the service. Interment will be at Shiloh Cemetery, Fruitland Park, FL. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory, Lady Lake, FL.
