Launa Fae Hollowell Boles of Snyder, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2011, at the age of 83.
Funeral funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 31 at 10:00 a.m. at Wright Colonial Funeral Home with Ron McClung officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 1 at Caps Cemetery in Abilene, Texas. Services are under the direction of Wright Colonial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Boles was born Monday, June 20, 1927 in Sweetwater to A.W. and Nora Mallon Hollowell. She graduated from Abilene High in 1944 as the class salutatorian. She married Bill Boles on November 27, 1951 in Taylor County. She worked as a manager of J.C. Penneys in Snyder before working in the accounting department in Snyder National where she retired. She was a member of First Baptist Church for 43 years where she taught Sunday School. She followed her children's sports adventures throughout the years and was an avid sports fan.
She is survived by a son, Michael Richard Boles of Snyder, a granddaughter, Julie Michelle Adams of Dallas, a son in law, Joe Mark Adams of Midland and a niece, Lynda McDonald of Abilene.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill Boles in 1980 and a daughter, Deanna Adams.
