Charles D. Passmore, son of Charles and Hattie Rozelle Passmore, was born January 27, 1920 at Wayne and died suddenly of an apparent heart attack in Las Vegas, Nev., October 5, 1979 at the age of 59 years, 8 months and 8 days.
He served in the armed forces during World War II from 1942-1945.
He was married to Betty Curtis on March 19, 1945.
He worked for the Kansas Power and Light Company of Belleville as a gas serviceman since November, 1945. He and his wife moved to Concordia in 1964.
He was a member of the VFW, Elks, and Moose Lodges of Concordia.
He is survived by his wife; one brother, Clyde Passmore of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one sister, Maiam McCracken, Caldwell, Idaho.
Funeral services were held October 10 at the United Methodist Church in Belleville with the Rev. Larry Dutton officiating. Military graveside services were conducted by the VFW Baker-Holmes Post No. 3722 and American Legion Robert E Gordon Post No. 133 of Belleville. Burial was in the Belleville Cemetery.
