FRED CRANE
PASSING OF A FORMER RESIDENT
Fred Crane, formerly of this city, passed away at his home in Milwaukee Friday last at the age of sixty-five, death being due to apoplexy from which he suffered for a week before his death.
Deceased was a resident of this city for eight years leaving here with his family twelve years ago to reside at Milwaukee. He was employed there as saw filer at the Two Rivers Manufacturing Co., saw mill which was at that time working to large capacity. He is well remembered here by many as a man of commendable traits and a citizen of exemplary character. Mrs. Henry Grover Jr., of this city, who was called to his bedside Thursday last, is a daughter. Deceased also leaves his widow, a daughter, Miss Alice and two sons, Benjamin and Chester of Milwaukee. A brother and several sisters also survive. The funeral was Monday afternoon at Milwaukee.
