Joel Tedford Lowe of Winona, formerly of Hattiesburg, died at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona on Thursday, August 30, 2012.

Mr. Lowe, 56, was the son of the late Harrell and Claudie Tedford Lowe. He was also preceded in death by a niece, Teresa Lowe, and a brother-in-law, Tommy Wolfe. He was a restoration house painter and a jewelry craftsman.
He will be remembered as a free and gentle spirit who befriended stray animals, and was a favorite of his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include two sisters, Carol Ann Griffin of Winona and Lynn Anderson of Petal; and two brothers, William Lowe of Sardis and David Lowe of Holcomb.
