Mrs. Ada Smith Stoops, 77, of East Brady R.D.1, died at 1:55 a.m. Monday, July 10, 1978, at the Butler County Memorial Hospital.
Born Gev 5, 1901, in Monongahela, she was the daughter of Arch and Nancy Rue.
She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church of Chicora R.D.1, the Friendly Bible Class, and was past president of the Lutheran Church Women.
She was first married to Earl Smith who died in 1950.
Surviving are her husband, William Stoops; two stepsons, William Stoops Jr. of Seale, Ala., and James Stoops of Franklin; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Harvey (Evelyn) Earley of Chicora R.D.1, Mrs. William (Lois)Elder of Cowansville, and Mrs. Clifford (Mary) Ortz of Templeton; 12 stepgrandchildren and 14 stepgreat-grandchildren.
