Born in Taylorville, on May 27, 1899, he was a son of Joseph and Daisy Coy. He was married in 1924 to the former, Opal I. Hawkins, who survives him. Mr. Coy was a retired building contractor and a member of the Morrisonville Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold Coy, he leaves his wife; son, Jerry Coy; and a daughter, Maryalice Moore.
