Charles's mother was Elizabeth Arrington. Sometime about 1915 he married "Annie" and had two sons by her. They were John L. born about 1917, and Charles H. born in 1919. In 1940 he lived at Ward 5 Rocky Mount Township of Nash County. At that time he was an operator of a local theatre. He eventually became the President of the North Carolina and South Carolina Theatre Association. He died in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
