Matthew was born February 5, 1964 in Rogers City, Michigan to Kenneth N. and Janet I. (Hein) Baller, Sr.
Matthew graduated from Cadillac High School in 1982. He was formerly employed at Four Winns for 14 years and later at FIAMM. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish, and spend time at the cabin, also known as "Them Boys Place". He was an exceptional handyman and craftsman and enjoyed projects around the house. He truly loved riding his 1967 Harley Davidson that he inherited from his father.
On September 11, 1982, in Cadillac he married his loving wife Sherri A. Kohler. His is survived by her along with their loving children: Eric (Trina) Baller of Temecula, California, Jennifer Baller (Zach Smith) of Traverse City and Kristine (Brandon) Hanbury of Cadillac; one grandson, Logan Hanbury; a brother, Fred (Teresa) Baller of Manton and two sisters, Melissa Murphy of Cadillac and Becky (Bill) Rice of Tustin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth N. Baller, Jr. in 2001.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday September 6, 2012 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Deacon James Siler officiating. Friends may meet the family from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Clam Lake Township Cemetery in Wexford County. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
