Florence Swart was born and lived most of her life on Pelican Ave. She attended Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church. She married George John Sprauer in 1923 but separated before 1930 and divorced him about 1934. Florence had no children of her own but mothered her nephews, Cliff and Bill, as well as a boy named "Junior". For a number of years she ran an answering service out of her home for a number of businesses, including the Jefferson Music Company.
