Outlook--Emma H. Dowell, 62, died Sunday night in Harlem Rest Home where she had been a patient for three years.
She was born Nov. 17, 1912, in Outlook, the daughter of Edward and Helga Wollan. She grew up in Outlook and attended Northern Montana College in Havre, where she was trained as a teacher.
Mrs. Dowell taught in several northeastern Montana schools until her marriage to Clyde Dowell Aug. 1, 1935, in Chicago. They lived in Chicago until 1955, when they moved to Des Plaines, Ill., where she lived until moving to Harlem.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Illinois Education Association and National Education Association.
Survivors include the widower of Fortine; two sons, Tim of Kalispell and David of Peoria, Ill.; a brother, Clarence of Eureka; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Fulkerson Memorial Chapel in Plentywood. Burial will be in Outlook Cemetery.
