Mrs. Neva Tammen
La Crosse—Mrs. Neva Tammen, 52, died
Friday night at the Hadley Hospital in Hays,
fter a three-month illness.
She was a second grade school teacher
in the Larned School System.
She was a member of the Hope Lutheran
Church at Rush Cener, and also a member
of the Larned Teachers Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
Elmer E. Tammen, who died July 18, 1951,
and her one son, Ray E., who died on Nov.
1951.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Belle
Hallett; two daughters, Mrs. Charlene
Spangler of Carrollton, Mo., and Miss Carol
Lee of the home; two brothers, Ernest Hallett
of Rush Center, and Corwin Hallett of
Nickerson; and one sister, Mrs. Nelle
Smith, Rush Center.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday ai
2:30 p.m. at the church in Rush Center,
with the Rev. B. F. Mirtz officiating.
Burial will be in the La Crosse city cemetery
