On Mary Jane's marker it reads she was born 29 Jun 1844. My records indicated 25 Jun 1835, plus the record for U S Census from 1850 - 1870 and State Census 1875 agree with my records. The 1880 Census indicated she was born in 1842. Making her about 52 and 1/2, at the time of her death.
After Mary Jane's death, her husband Peter and goes to live on the Oklahama Indian Territory, with 2 of their children Rosa Lee & John Christopher. My great-grandmother Laura Irene Walters had married before her Mothers death. But there were 2 other young sons David Uriah and Peter, I have not been able to find, if they had lived I believe they would have been in the Indian Territory with there Father. I am now inclined to believe they to died sometime after 1888 - 1900.
The was a son John R Walters born 1868 in Holt County, Missouri was laid to rest next to his Mother. Marker says he died in 1868, but the U S Census show him with the Family up to the 1880 Census. So I feel he died from my records 14 Nov 1886.
