June 24, 1887 - Carroll Sentinel - Mrs. A.U. Quint died at the residence of Dr. Spauldiug in this city Wednesday morning of consumption. She had been ill for some time, but that the case was serious was not realized until within a few months, when the best physicians consulted agreed in advising her husband to take her to the south or west, and Mr. Quint was already preparing to do so, expecting to go in a very short time. Some days ago she was brought to town to consult the physicians, and remained at Dr. Spaulding's. She was taken suddenly worse last week, and failed rapidly until the end came. The funeral at the M.E. church in this place yesterday was largely attended.
Mr. and Mrs. Quint had been married but a little over one year. Mrs. Quint was a lady of fine education and high social qualities, and loved by all about her. The sorrowing husband has the sympathies of the community in his great bereavement.
