FORMER DEFIANCE MAN WILL BE BURIED HERE
Burial of the remains of Luther Lerch, former Defiance resident, who died Sunday in Toledo, will take place here Tuesday afternoon. He died from a stroke of apoplexy, at an age of over 80.
Mr. Lerch was an uncle of Mrs. C. E. Eberle, and his widow is a sister of Mrs. Smith Vaughn. His widow formerly was Lizzie Capper of Defiance. He followed the carpentry trade here. The family went to Toledo about 35 years ago. Mr. Lerch had been an invalid for a number of years.
Besides his widow he is survived by five children. Mrs. Gertrude Landis. Mrs. Hattie Redd. Wayne and George Lerch, and Mrs. Leah Rice, all of Toledo.
