Daisy was born August 30, 1916 in Morristown, TN a daughter to the late Henry and Maude McCrary Long. She was united in marriage to Rondell E. "Jack" Grammer on September 28, 1940, in Jackson, MO.; Jack preceded her in death on January 26, 2002.
Daisy and Jack lived in southern Illinois for over fifty years where they raised their family and owned an apple and peach orchard. Daisy was an active member of Dutch Ridge Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school and led bible study groups. She also loved gardening and cooking.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Dutch Ridge Baptist Church near Pomona, Pastor Davy Miller will officiate, burial will be in Dutch Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro and from 9 until the hour of services at the church on Thursday.
Memorials are encouraged and may be made to the Dutch Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter; Linda Kaye of Kansas City, MO, two sons and one daughter-in-law; Donald E. Grammer of Murphysboro and William and Carmen Grammer of Carterville, IL., one sister; Clara Young of Wichita Falls, TX., 10 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother; James Long, and one infant sister; Grace Long.
