She was born June 20, 1982, in Anderson. Kymi was a 2000 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School. She was a loving, caring, independent person that truly loved everyone and called them her friend.
Survivors include her parents, Robert and Leettia Carey of Pendleton; her grandmothers, Elizabeth "Peggy" Carey-Shively of Frankton and Ann Stewart of Orlando, Fla.; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Jack Carey and Jim Stewart; and her very best friend in the world, Dana Vaught.
She is surely going to be missed by everyone.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Bright Chapel, Pendleton, with Pastor Claude Creel officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Bright Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Hospice, Anderson.
