Ruth Abel, 92, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Villa del Sol in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was born on September 13, 1920, in Geneva, Iowa, to Edward and Dema (Putman) Eisentrager. Ruth attended school at South Prairie Hill and graduated from Geneva High School. She was united in marriage to Leo Abel on March 2, 1937, in Allison, Iowa. Ruth was a homemaker and a very good seamstress, making several wedding dresses for women in the Dumont area. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and reading. Ruth is survived by her grandson Brian Kramer of Newton, granddaughter Monica Kramer of Marshalltown and great-grandson Lucas Dean Kramer of Marshalltown. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Dema, husband Leo, daughter Martha "Marti" Kramer, son-in-law Bernard "Bernie" Kramer, grandson Kent Kramer, and brother Chuck Eisentrager.
Private burial will take place in the Lindenwood Cemetery in rural Geneva, Iowa.
