She was born on September 1, 1916 in Prairie Lake Township, MN to Kaarlo Theodore and Elizabeth (Liisa) Sophia Karihtala Rolig who had both emigrated from Finland.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jules Randolph Hukee, Sr., and her son, Jules Randolph Hukee, Jr., she was survived by her children, Elizabeth (Sam) Deretich, Byron (Julie) Hukee, and Jocelyn (Keith) Kilpatrick; her daughter-in- law, Gail (Gullgren) Hukee; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3812 - 229th Avenue NW, St. Francis, MN. Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel was entrusted with handling the arrangements on behalf of the family.
