She was the daughter of Christopher Cobler and Kesiah BUSH Cobler.
She was the wife of William Henry Arnold, Jr. They married on June 23, 1869 in Shelby County, Indiana.

She was the mother to seven children, Bridda Ann (Dora), William Lewis, Charles David, Mary K., John T., Ruth L., and George Washington Arnold. She was age 50 when she died.

Her husband was a veteran of the Civil War, having fought for the North and was given a land grant in Missouri. They moved to Spring Creek Twp., Howell County, Missouri and bought land that is called Arnold Ponds. This land was purchased on October 6, 1893.

However, he died at about age 47 in 1894. He was buried in Cureall Cemetery, Howell County, MO. She was very ill with tuberculous. So she and her younger children went back home to Indiana to be with her family before she died as she was too ill to take care of family and the homestead.

Even though the Arnold and Cobler families were large families, the laws in Indiana mandated that the minor children (under age 16) be taken in by the state if both parents were deceased. So two of her children, George Washington and Ruth, lived in the Shelbyville Soldiers and Sailors Orphans Home, and they continued their education there until age 16 while all of the older children returned to Missouri. Their parent's property was sold in 1902, and the proceeds were divided among her children.

She is buried along with several members of her family, including her father.
