H. Calvin Barnes, seventy-one years old, died Monday at 12:30 p.m. at his home near Andrews, after a long illness.
Funeral services were held at Piney Forest cemetery Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. Luther Smith officiating.
Mr. Barnes, a native of Georgetown County, was born December 26, 1871. He attended the Baptist Church. He was married first to Miss Bertha Tilton. Surviving are his second wife, who was Miss Minnie Ethridge, and the following children, Mrs. C. R. Wall of Georgetown; Mrs. Ben Smith, Mrs. L. N. Brown, Calvin Jr., Corine, Katie, Orrin, and John Henry Barnes, all of Georgetown.
