TRUCKER DIED IN COLLISION
NEWTON (AP) - One man was killed and another seriously injured early Wednesday in a head-on collision of two trucks two miles east of Kellogg.
Killed was Samuel Toalson, 29, of Cordova, Ill., a driver for Merchants Motor Freight between Moline and Omaha. Warren Allen, a driver for the Millard Truck Lines of Des Moines, was hospitalized at Newton.
Toalson was pinned in his cab and his body had to be cut loose from the wreckage. The collision occurred about 5:05 a.m. on highway 6.
