Donna Mae Lawrence, 81, Minot, died Thursday, December 29, 2011 in a Minot Nursing Home.

Donna was born June 16, 1930 at Larson, North Dakota the daughter of Mathias and Lottie (Evenson) Anderson. She was raised and educated at Larson and graduated from Columbus High School in 1948. She enrolled in correspondence courses concentrating in accounting and was employed at Kresge's Dime Store and with Union National Bank in Minot during her younger years.

Donna was united in marriage to Morris Lawrence on October 9, 1949 at Minot. They made their home in Minot, where she worked as a bookkeeper for Minot area businesses, including Peterson Excavating in 1976. She most recently had been working at Fugelseth Masonry. Morris died March 9, 2007.

Donna was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Minot,where she served on the board of deacons, taught Sunday school and Bible School with the help of her husband. She had done volunteer work for the Norsk Hostfest and ND State Fair. She was also a member of PEO Chapter AG and the ND Republican Party, where she had served as Past President of the ND Republican Women. She enjoyed watching various sporting events and watching the beautiful North Dakota sunrises and sunsets.

Her loving family includes, daughters, Lianne (Fabian) Zeltinger, Minot and Linda (Phil) Cusimano, Arvada, CO; grandchildren, Rebecca, Kari & Heidi Zeltinger, Ryan, Scott & Nathan Kehn; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband of fifty-eight years, sister, Bernice Matson, and brothers, Williard, Howard, Walter & Berneil Anderson.

Private Funeral service: Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Public Visitation: Monday, January 2, 2012 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Public Fellowship/Luncheon: Tuesday, January 3rd from 3:00-5:00p.m. at the Comfort Inn of Minot - Door A.

Memorials are preferred to Cottey College by way of the Minot PEO Chapter AG.
