Copied from Holden, MO newspaper. Obit states that she was buried in Rock Springs Cemetery where her parents and some siblings are buried, but location is unknown. It is possible that no stone was ever erected and temporary marker is no longer there. Submitted by Ernest Edmonston

Obituary of Mary S. Edmonston
Holden Progress, Holden, Mo.
Oct. 4, 1934

Miss Mary S. Edmonston, died at her home, in Holden Saturday morning, after an illness of about 2 weeks. She was 75 years old.
The funeral was Monday morning, with services at the Baptist church, in charge of Rev. W.M. Martin. Burial was in Rock Springs cemetery. Pall bearers were James Roberts, C.L. Strange, John Windsor, Roy Ballard, Tom Bradbury and Hugh Davidson.
Miss Edmonston, was the daughter of John R. and Cornelia Edmonston. She was born March 27, 1859 on a farm north of Holden, and lived there, caring for her aged parents, until 30 years ago, when she moved to the house at 8th and Market street where she spent the rest of her life.
As a child she affiliated with the Baptist church and remained active in its service until her death. She was a women of unquestioned integrity, unassuming and kindly, always a good friend, and a good neighbor.
She leaves 3 brothers, William H. of Liberty, Mo., James Monroe of Protection, Ks., and Fred of Wilmar, Calif.
