Daughter of Conrad Schlaefle and Madeline C. Smith*, wife of Heinrich "Henry" Baker, whom she married on April 29, 1888 in Manhattan, New York. Sister of Patrick C. Madaline (married Peter Ritter), Amelia (married George Winter), Theodore Schlaefle.

In 1880, Caroline Schlaefle, aged 20, born in New York, was living at 440 Fortieth Street, North Side between 10th & 9th Avenue, New York City, NY, with her mother, Madeline Schlaefle, aged 56, born in Switzerland, Patrick C. Schlaefle, aged 24, Madaline Schlaefle, aged 18, both born in New York, Amelia Schlaefle, aged 16, and Theodore Schlaefle, aged 14, both born in New Jersey.

In 1900, Caroline Baker, aged 40, born April 1860 In New York, was living in Riverhead, NY, with her mother, Madeline Schlaefle, aged 86, widowed, born February 1824 in Switzerland, and brothers, Conrad Schlaefle, aged 43, born July 1856 in New York, a farmer, Theodore Schlaefle, aged 44, born February 1866 in New York, a house carpenter, niece, Madeline Ritter, aged 15, born February 1885 in New York, and nephew, Peter Ritter, aged 12, born March 1888 in New York.

In 1930, Carrie Baker, aged 63, was living at 863 Wading River Road, North Manorville, Riverhead, NY, with her husband, Henry Baker, aged 63, a farmer, and brothers, Theodore Schlaefle, aged 60, a carpenter, and Conrad Schlaefle, aged 74, a farm laborer.

Estate - Under the will of Caroline S. Baker of Manorville, who died December 7, her brother, Theodore Schlaefle of Manorville inherits personality valued at not more than $1,000. He is also given life use of real property, with remainder interest to Lillie Howard, grandniece, Riverhead, but the petition indicates that the decedent did not die possessed of realty, at least in this county and state. The Suffolk County National bank of Riverhead is executor.
