Flora Marie Wark Faunce, 86, of Denison, died July 24, 2002 at a Holton care facility. She was born Nov. 24, 1915 in Circleville, the daughter of Arthur and Gladys Utterback Anderson. Mrs. Faunce moved to Denison from Hiawatha in 1947. She worked at Slimaker Dress Factory in Holton from 1955 to 1976. She had also worked at the South Holton Restaurant as a waitress and as a manager. She was a member of the Denison Bible Church in Denison. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Denison for more than 25 years. She married Clayton "Toddy" Wark on May 12, 1935 in Troy. He died July 17, 1980. She married Harry Faunce on May 26, 1985. He died May 27, 2000. A daughter, Beverly Bontrager, also preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 1964 and a grandson, Derrick Sumner, preceded her in death on January 17, 1995. Survivors include a son, James A. Wark, Denison; a daughter, Juanita Zwonitzer, Denison; a sister, Marjorie Parker, Holton; a brother, Lawrence Anderson, Lincolnton, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Services were held July 29 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial was in Holton Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Denison Bible Church, sent in care of Mercer Funeral Home, 1101 W. Fourth St., Holton, KS 66436.
