Memorial services for John Dudley Bell, 55, of Conway, Ark., will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Grace United Methodist Church in Conway.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, January 5, at Grace United Methodist Church in Conway.

Mr. Bell was born September 8, 1951 in Starkville, Miss., and died Tuesday, January 2, after battling a long illness.

He was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church in Conway and belonged to Partners and Friends Sunday school class. Dudley volunteered at Fort Roots VA Hospital, was active with youth missionary work and an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.

After graduating from Minden High School in 1970, Bell gave 30 years of service to AT&T as a communications technician in Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana. Bell and his wife enjoyed traveling and playing golf and in 2004 they were blessed with their grandbaby, Lizzie, the apple of Pepaw's eye.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Lamar Bell Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Glenda Kay Corder Bell; his mother and step-dad, Gloria J. Young and Stanley J. Kaczenski; one daughter and son-in-law, Jodi Leanne and Shane Tuttle; three sons and daughter-in-laws, John Dudley Bell Jr, Christopher Michael and Whendie Long and Keith DeWayne and Lisa Kirklin; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Baylee Tuttle; three step-granddaughters, Rachel, Amber and Taylor; brothers, Raymond and wife Benita Bell, Roger and wife Liz Bell; and many nieces and nephew's and loving friends.

Mr.Bell was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son. His faith in God carried him through the long illness. He lived 19 years following his liver transplant in 1988.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church or Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency.
