DELMAR F. ACHAUER
Delmar F. Achauer, 74 of 28 Sixth St., Philo, died at 12:35 a.m. Thursday at Good Samaritan Medical Center where he has been a patient since Tuesday. He had been ill five months.
Mr. Achauer was born in Harrison Township on December 28 and spent most of his life in the Philo area.
He was a long-time trucker and was also employed by the Muskingum County Highway Department for many years.
He was a member of Anchor Lodge 283 F&Amand was master of the lodge in 1953. He was also a member of Royal Arch Masons chapter and council of Zanesville, and Muskingum County Republican Club. He had also served on the Philo town council.
He is survived by his wife, the former Lucille Waxler, whom he married on June21, 1924; a daughter , Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Hupp of 1319 Eastman St.; two sons, Herbert W. of Philo and Donald H. of New Concord; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Clyde E. Thompson Funeral Home in Duncan Falls after 7 p.m. tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
Burial will be in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
