Lifelong Resident of Philo Community-Funeral To Be Sunday
Charles H. Barton, 81 years old, well known resident of Philo, died at his home at 5:30 o'clock Friday evening following a five months' illness of complications.
He was a lifelong resident of the Philo community and was a member of the Philo Methodist Episcopal church.For many years he was employed as carpenter by the Baltimore and Ohio railroad shops. He retired several years ago.
Survivng are a daughter, Mrs. Chalmer Davis of Duncan Falls, four sons, Frank of Marion, Harold and Harry of this city, and Edwin of the home, two sisters and a brother, and nine grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death. The body will be taken to the residence at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Burial will be in the Duncan Falls cemetery.
