Jerri passed away peacefully at 1:00 am Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Willis Knighton North Hospital in Shreveport, LA, surrounded by her children, from complications following open heart surgery in Feb. 2007 and again in May, 2007.
She was born on May 24, 1928 in Red River Parish, LA, one of 10 children born to Emmit Wilton Methvin and Laura Mae Murphy Methvin, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, JW WIlkins - one of the original 12 members of the new Bossier City Police Dept. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers: Wilton "Alvin" Methvin, William Claxton "Kakie" Methvin and Robert Dorwayne "Bob" Methvin who also retired from the Bossier City Police Dept.; and by her twin brother and sister who died at birth.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Jeff Hudson, Jason Hudson, Michael West, Bryan West, Stephen Wilkins and Christopher Fittz.
