R. Lee Dale, 80, of Clearfield R.D. died Friday, Sept. 23, at Mountain Laurel Nursing Center, Clearfield.
Born April 7, 1907, in Clearfield, he was a son of William Lloyd and Olive Jane (Ogden) Dale.
Mr. Dale was retired from Harbison-Walker Refractories and also had been employed by the Clearfield Area School Dist. He was a Protestant by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Stella (Rowles) Dale, whom he married June 20, 1931, four children, N. Lee Dale Stoneback of Allentown, Roger L. of Camp Hill, Mary E. Dale Paul of Mechanicsburg and Robert D. of Hyde; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pearl Confer of Clearfield and Claire Duff of Rockton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Stanley R.; one infant grandson; two brothers, Edgar and Lynn; and two sisters, Ethel Holt and Lillia Mary.
Services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at The Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, with the Rev. Maynard S. Barnhart Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday until the service.
