Rites in Pasadena, Calif., for Mrs. D. E. Perrin
Last rites for Mrs. D. E. Perrin, 96, Waseca native who died Thanksgiving evening at Pasadena, Calif., were held in Pasadena Saturday, Nov. 28. Remains will be brought to Waseca next summer to be buried beside her husband in Woodville cemetery. Mr. Perrin, who operated a music store in Waseca for many years, died last summer. Mr. and Mrs. Perrin left Waseca in 1953 to live in Pasadena.
Mrs. Perrin suffered a stroke Nov. 28, and died within five minutes. Emily “Emma” Bierman was born in Wilton township, Waseca county, Sept. 8, 1873, daughter of the late Henry and Dorothea Bierman. She attended Waseca elementary and high school and graduated from Waseca high school in 1890.
On Nov. 29, 1901, she married D. E. Perrin at Waseca. She was active in the Order of Eastern Star, being a past Worthy Matron, and also active in the Rebekah lodge of the IOOF.
Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Herbst, Pasadena, Calif.
