Jack L. Shirk, 61, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, September 8th, 2012 in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was born in Lancaster County, a son of the late Chester L. and Jane V. Kline Shirk. Jack was the husband of Rose M. Zimmerman Shirk, his wife of 40 years. Mr. Shirk was employed as the Food Service Director for Cornwall- Lebanon and ELCO School Districts. He was also a State Constable. He enjoyed Camping, Cheese Making, Wine Making, Gardening, Fishing and Boating, Hunting, Cooking and Scuba Diving for Approx. 25 years. Most important was his family. Surviving are his wife; two sons: Christopher S., husband of Alla O. Shirk and Matthew A. Shirk; five grandsons: Artem; Merrick; Darien; Stefan and Andrew; brother: Timothy Shirk; sister: Jolenne, wife of Richard Haller all of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews. Jack especially cherished his aunt Dorothy Zook of Lebanon and uncle, the late Kenneth Zook. He was preceded in death by a sister: Brenda L. Tulensa. A funeral service will be held in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc. 508 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, Pa., 17042 on Saturday, September 15th, 2012 at 12:00p.m. with Rev. Dr. Roger A. Bucy, visitation pastor for Salem Lutheran Church, Lebanon officiating. A viewing will be held from 8:00a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Machpelah Cemetery, Lititz.
