Permelia Elizabeth Irene McCoy, age 90, of Hatfield, AR, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2002 in the Mena Manor Nursing home.
She was born July 26, 1911 in Hatfield.
She was the daughter of the late G.W. McDonald and the late Dessie Griffin. She was united in marriage to Raymond McCoy on June 6, 1931 in Hatfield. He preceded her in death on September 21, 2000.
She lived in Hatfield most of her life, was a homemaker and gardener and a member of the Hatfield Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Dale McCoy of Cove, AR, Glenn McCoy of Portales, NM; two daughters, Nancy Richardson and Frieda Romine, both of Hatfield, AR; one sister, Opal Joplin of Claremore, OK; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond, and one sister.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 15 in the Hatfield Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Davis and Bro. Gene Cross officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Hall Funeral Services.
Pallbearers were grandsons; Kenny Romine, Barry McCoy, Jefferson Richardson, Stan McCoy, Wes McCoy and David Harris.
Honorary pallbearers were Tony Nichols, Ken Miller, and Chris Looney.
