Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Friday in the Morrow Crouse Funeral Home, Granville, for Robert Henry Hood, 60, of 108 Elmwood Ave., a former Granville resident. The Rev. A. Gary Angelberger will officiate, with burial in Maplegrove Cemetery, Granville.
Mr. Hood died Tuesday afternoon in Licking County Memorial Hospital, where he was a patient for one day. He was hospitalized for four weeks in February.
He was born Sept. 26, 1907 in Jackson to James Clark and Allie Naomi Hutchison Hood.
He was a salesman for Hoover Corp. of Canton, and insurance salesman, and was employed for the past three-and-a-half years at the George Roper Co. He owned the Hut Restaurant in Granville for 29 years and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Granville.
Surviving are his wife, Bernice Knoth Hood, whom he married in 1926; two sons, Robin of Newark and James W. of Marion; a daughter, Mrs. John C. Wiles of Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, Raymond H. of Zanesville and two sisters: Mrs. Clark Bittinger of Akron and Mrs. Oscar Brown of Granville.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 this evening and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
