Shirley was born April 21, 1960, in Washington, to Everett and Mary(Redlinger)Greiner. On Aug. 16, 1980, she married Craig Buehneman at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clear Creek Township.
She graduated from Keota High School and Indian Hills Community College with an LPN degree. The couple lived near Sigourney, where Shirley worked at Manor House Care Center for the last eight years. Shirley was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Sigourney. She was a big supporter of the Relay for Life and Alzheimer's walk and enjoyed spending time with her animals and her two grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Craig of Sigourney; three children, Shelly Buehneman of Harper, Alan "Bruiser"(Tracy)Buehneman of Pekin and Tami Buehneman of Oskaloosa; two grandchildren, Serenity and Lane Buehneman; and 12 siblings.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Justin Greiner.
Memorial visitation will be from 4-7 pm Friday at Powell Funeral Home in Sigourney, where there will be a wake service at 4 pm. There will be no funeral services. A memorial fund has been established for Shirley's grandchilddren.
