Found in The State 21 January 1922: Mrs. Frances M. Palmer, widow of the late John B. Palmer, and formerly a resident of Columbia, died Thursday in New York City, according to information received here yesterday. Mr. Palmer, who died many years ago, was president of the Atlantic Coast Line railroad. Mrs. Palmer was widely connected in Columbia and South Carolina and her many friends and relatives in the state will be grieved to hear of her death. She is survived by a son, E. K. Palmer of Columbia, who was at the bedside of his mother when she died. Funeral services will be held at Elmwood cemetery at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
