Alice was born 86 years ago on May 6, 1915 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Thomas H. Smith and Nancy James Solomon. Jay Duke, her husband of 53 years, preceded her in death.
Alice was loved by her many friends, neighbors and family. She will always be remembered for her beautiful yard, her roses, and special friendship with her dogs. She was a talented artist and enjoyed sharing her gifts with family, friends and neighbors.
She is survived by and will be dearly missed by her children, Pat Card, Salt Lake City, Utah; Michael Duke Usk, Washington; Brenda Holm Salt Lake City, Utah; and Jay Thomas Duke (Julie), West Jordan, Utah; 11 grandchildren and nine great- grand-children.
Funeral services will be held Fri., Oct. 26, 2001, 1 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. So. Temple. Friends may call Thurs. 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary and one hour prior to the services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
