Harry R. DuBois, age 83 of Oldmans Twp., died Monday, August 27, 2012 in Friends Village at Woodstown. Born in Salem County, he was the son of the late John Wesley DuBois and Geneva Richardson DuBois. Harry was a self-employed farmer, owning and operating Sandy Acre Farms until his retirement in 1992. Harry farmed all of his life, first with his father, and then with his brother, Maurice. He enjoyed hunting, archery, sporting clays, trap, and skeet, and he was a member of the Salem County Sportsmens Club, the Quinton Sportsmens Club, the Jersey Three Square Deer Club and the Obissquasoit Bowmen. He also was on the Migrant Labor Board in Glassboro, the State Board of Agriculture, the Salem County Board of Agriculture, and the Salem County Soil Conservation District Committee. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean (Biddle) DuBois; his daughters, Geneva Ann (& Jim) Pearson, Barbara J. DuBois, and Deborah J. DuBois; his son, John W. (& Diane) DuBois; his daughter, Emily D. (& Holly) DuBois-Owens; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; and his sister, Eva Davis. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Venelda Lynn DuBois, his brother, Maurice DuBois, and his sister, Joan Woolman. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, September 1st in the First Baptist Church of Woodstown, 117 S. Main St., Woodstown, where friends are invited to visit from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Burial will be private in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harry R. DuBois Memorial Agriculture Scholarship, c/o Emily DuBois, Woodstown High School, 140 East Ave., Woodstown, NJ 08098.
