Alma was the daughter of Samuel and Mary Dawson Snoots. At one time she was married to Robert Ahalt, but they were divorced and she resumed her maiden name. She was a teller at the Maryland National Bank in College Park for many years and also worked for Woodward & Lothrop.
Alma was survived by a sister, Mary Taylor (who has since passed away) and two nephews.
