THIS CITY, DIES AT CHICAGO – ILL MANY MONTHS
Messages received in the city today conveyed the sad intelligence of the death of Mrs. Charles Greve, of Chicago, mother of Mrs. M.H. Dempsey of this city and herself a former Manitowoc resident. Mrs. Dempsey departed for Chicago at noon.
Mrs. Greve, who was an early day resident of this city and was married here in the 60's, had resided at Chicago for many years. She had visited her daughter in this city on frequent occasions and was well known and a large circle of friends will be saddened by news of her demise. The death of Mrs. Greve followed an illness of several months, she having been in failing health since last July. She was 66 years of age and a native of Germany.
Mrs. Greve is survived by her husband and four children, Mrs. Dempsey of this city, Mrs. Albert Seegert, Mrs. William Risser and Henry Greve of Chicago. One brother, Reinholdt Berndt, this city, also survives. The funeral will be held at Chicago.
