Richard "Rick" L. Sheese, Jr., 44, of Bowling Green, passed away at IU Health-Bloomington, Friday, September 14, 2012. He was born December 11, 1967 in Bloomington to Shirley (Swango) and Richard L. Sheese, Sr. Rick was a 1986 Owen Valley High School graduate. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Community Church, the Spencer Masonic Lodge and a 26 year member of the Patricksburg Volunteer Fire Department. He drove a truck for many years and previously worked for the Owen County Highway Department. Rick enjoyed riding dirt bikes and outdoor activities including camping, hunting and gardening.
He is survived by his fiancé, Tammy Hall of Bowling Green; sons, Austin Sheese of Bowling Green and Max Hinchman of Spencer; mother and stepfather, Shirley and Norman Dunigan of Spencer; brother, Dallas Hill of Bloomington; sister, Margie Hill of Brazil; stepchildren, James Hall of Bloomington and Jessica Corns of Ellettsville and step grandson, Carson.
Rick is preceded in death by his father, Richard "Dick" and grandparents, Herbert and Laura Belle Swango and Homer and Inas Sheese.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 20, 2012 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Pastor Allan Lewis will officiate. Burial will follow at Christian Cemetery in Patricksburg. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Wednesday and 9 a.m. until time of service on Thursday. A Masonic service will be held at 7:45 p.m., Wednesday by the Spencer Masonic Lodge.
