Actor. Born Vardry McBee Williams in South Carolina. After serving in the US Army Air Corps in World War II, he relocated to California to pursue an acting career. He made his big screen debut in "Repeat Performance" (1947) and went on to appear in over forty feature films. Among his credits are "Command Decision" (1948), "Backfire" (1950), "Flying Leathernecks" (1951), "Retreat Hell" (1952), "Chartroose Caboose" (1960) and "Cape Fear" (1962). For television, he appeared on "Dragnet", "Surfside 6", "Twilight Zone", "My Three Sons", "Perry Mason" and many more. He died in Hollywood, California, at the age of 58.
