Patricia LaVearne Porter, age 72, was at home when she died Sunday, September 16, 2012. She was born on August 3, 1940, at Hartshorne, OK, the daughter of Eugene and Margie (Crabtree) Gizzi. Patricia was preceded in death by her father, a son John Douglas Porter and a brother Don Gizzi.

Patricia formerly attended CrossRoads Community Church and had been trying to attend Silver Valley Community Church when her health permitted. Her greatest hobby the last few years had been reading her bible. She loved having Sunday lunch with her family at the house. She loved pretty flowers and had enjoyed hand building Christmas wreaths from grape vines that John would gather for her. Her decorating and arts and craft skills filled her family's homes with loving touches. Patricia loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband John H. Porter of the home; daughter Diana and husband Ralph Jones of Harrison and daughter Suzanne Cross of Harrison; her mother Margie C. Palmer of Harrison; a brother Mike Gizzi of Henrietta, OK; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Services will be 2 PM, Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Mills speaking. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday at the Roller-Christeson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Maple Leaf Cemetery following the services.

Pallbearers will be Eric Jones, Ryan Jones, Ralph Jones, J. D. Winberry, Chance Burleson and Brent Carter.
