Timothy R. Fontes of Battle Creek, age 35, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at his home. He was born September 12, 1976 in Vallejo, California the son of Norman E. and Sheryl (Marvin) Fontes. Tim attended Pennfield High School thru the 11th grade and then moved to Florida where he graduated from Pasco Comprehensive High School. He had a love for both art and music, attending the Tampa Art Institute and playing in several bands throughout the years. Surviving are his son: Elijah Ray Fontes; his mother: Sheryl "Shellie" Council; five brothers and sisters: Brian (Sandee) Council, Tonya May (Dan) Back, Tiffany (Tim) White, Teresa Kay (Parker) Bennett and Stacy Council; eleven nieces and nephews: NaTasha, Josh, Justin, Nicholas, Jordan, Marena, Jake, Rylan, Calvin, Kayson and Landin; and his uncle: Gene (Diane) Marvin. Tim was preceded in death by his father, Norman Fontes and step-father, Don Council. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday at First Wesleyan Church, 14425 Helmer Road, Battle Creek.
